Welcome To Blood & Bone

Welcome to my blog. I’m an aspiring writer who currently lives in Southern California. I usually write in the Southern Gothic/Grit-Lit/Rough South & Neo-Noir genres but also branch out into Magical Realism and Horror. I’m glad you found me. I’m new to the blog game but it involves writing and a keyboard so I think I might have a little something to offer.
The purpose of this blog is two fold; to show the process of the craft from an aspiring writers point of view with behind the scene looks at just what it is we put ourselves though on a day to day basis and also reviews, opinion pieces, and strange links that may just give you an idea of something to write about. Those strange and savage occurrences that happen out in the real world will be blogged about and discussed over in the Odditorium.
As a side note I’m also working on posting a few interviews with some authors that people may find of interest. Talking about the Craft is is something I love and I hope you all will enjoy the journey with me. So, right now it’s bare-knuckles around here but I hope to have it populated sooner rather than later and at such a time I may even update this welcome message but seeing I still write everything on a typewriter and don’t have television those odds are as long as the nine horse in the fourth.
Again, welcome. It’s great to have you here. And if you would like to see what my version of Grit-Lit is all about then go on ahead and check out my piece, The Angels’ Armory over on Bull: Men’s Fiction’s site. Drugs, Guns, and Murder. Maybe even a little love. It’s all there in spades. So, as they say, scroll down and let’s get on with the show.

Book Haul

It’s about that time again. How about a good old fashioned book haul post? I mean it’s always nice to see what other writers are reading, right? I know I love book haul posts myself. Book porn incoming! So let’s see the new additions to the Litman library, shall we? So what do we have …
